An End-Times Warning to a Church That Must Die to Self Before It Can Walk in the Power of God
There is a battle more dangerous than the one happening around you.
It is not always the devil.
It is not always persecution.
It is not always the people who oppose you.
Sometimes the greatest battlefield is inside your own heart.
The greatest enemy of what God wants to do through your life may be the part of you that still refuses to surrender.
The part that wants recognition.
The part that wants control.
The part that says, “My way.”
The part that wants the blessing without the breaking, the crown without the cross, the power without surrender, the resurrection without death.
And in this hour, God is not merely looking for people who can shout.
He is looking for people who have surrendered. 🕊️
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.”
Galatians 2:20
🕯️ THE CROSS DOES NOT ONLY DEAL WITH SIN—IT DEALS WITH SELF
We often preach about Jesus dying for our sins—and rightly so.
But the cross also confronts something deeper:
our right to rule ourselves.
Jesus did not come merely to improve the old you.
He came to make you new.
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Luke 9:23
Notice the words:
Deny himself.
Not deny somebody else.
Not deny your neighbor.
Not deny your enemy.
Deny yourself.
There is a Christianity that wants Jesus as Savior but refuses Him as Lord.
There is a Christianity that wants His promises but resists His correction.
There is a Christianity that wants His hand but does not want His cross.
But the Holy Spirit is calling the Church deeper.
Not deeper into religious activity.
Deeper into surrender.
🌿
🔥 YOUR UNCRUCIFIED SELF WILL FIGHT WHAT GOD WANTS TO BIRTH
There are things God cannot entrust to an ego that still demands the throne.
Because if God gives power to an unbroken heart, the heart may take the glory.
If God gives influence to an uncrucified self, influence can become an idol.
If God gives revelation to someone who loves recognition more than obedience, revelation can become a platform for pride.
That is why God sometimes allows the process to become painful.
He is not destroying you.
He is destroying what would destroy His purpose in you.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
John 3:30
That is the cry of a surrendered life.
More of Christ.
Less of me.
More obedience.
Less ambition.
More holiness.
Less compromise.
More prayer.
Less self-promotion.
More of His glory.
Less of my name.
⏳ THIS IS AN END-TIME ISSUE
We are living in an hour when Jesus warned that deception would increase.
“For many shall come in my name… and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:5
The greatest danger in the last days will not necessarily look like open rebellion.
Some deception will look religious.
Some will sound spiritual.
Some will use the language of faith while secretly protecting the flesh.
Jesus warned that there would be people who could say, “Lord, Lord,” while their lives remained disconnected from obedience.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father.”
Matthew 7:21
This is why the message of the cross must return to the center.
The Church cannot afford a gospel that comforts the flesh while leaving the soul unchanged.
The hour demands consecration.
The hour demands holiness.
The hour demands oil in the lamp.
The hour demands a people who know their God—not merely people who know about God.
🕊️
🩸 GOD IS AFTER THE SECRET PLACE
The real test of surrender is not what you do before people.
It is what happens when nobody is watching.
What do you desire when there is no applause?
Who are you when nobody celebrates you?
Can you obey when obedience costs you?
Can you forgive when your flesh wants revenge?
Can you remain humble when God begins to use you?
Can you disappear so Christ can be seen?
That is where the cross becomes real.
Because crucifixion is not comfortable.
It means surrendering the right to say:
“I must have my way.”
Instead:
“Lord, have Your way.”
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Romans 12:1
🔥 A living sacrifice cannot keep crawling off the altar.
🌅 THE CROSS LEADS TO RESURRECTION
But hear this carefully:
God does not call you to die to yourself because He wants you empty.
He calls you to die so Christ can live through you.
The cross is not the end.
There is resurrection.
There is newness.
There is freedom.
There is power in a surrendered vessel.
When self goes to the cross, Christ becomes visible.
When pride bows, grace can flow.
When control is surrendered, faith can rise.
When the flesh is denied, the Spirit can lead.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Romans 8:14
The world does not need another performance.
It needs to see Jesus.
Not our personality.
Not our reputation.
Not our religious image.
Jesus.
⚠️ CHURCH, DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST HOUR
The wise virgins in Matthew 25 had oil.
The foolish had lamps—but no sufficient oil.
That is a terrifying picture.
They looked ready.
They carried lamps.
They expected the bridegroom.
But when the cry came at midnight, preparation could no longer be borrowed.
“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”
Matthew 25:6
The question for this generation is not merely:
“Do you attend church?”
It is:
“Is your lamp burning?”
Not:
“Do you know Christian language?”
But:
“Do you know the Lord?”
Not:
“Do people see your ministry?”
But:
“Does Jesus possess your heart?”
⏰ The midnight hour is coming.
And preparation cannot be postponed forever.
🙏 A CRY FOR THE ALTAR
Lord Jesus,
Take everything in me that resists Your will.
Crucify my pride.
Crucify my selfish ambition.
Crucify my desire for recognition.
Crucify my bitterness.
Crucify my secret compromises.
Crucify everything that competes with Your lordship.
Break what needs to be broken.
Remove what needs to be removed.
Cleanse what needs to be cleansed.
And let Christ be formed in me.
I do not want merely to look ready.
I want to be ready.
I do not want merely to speak about the fire.
I want to carry the fire.
I do not want my name remembered.
I want Jesus glorified.
Make me a vessel You can trust in the final hour.
🕊️ “Not I, but Christ.”
That must become the cry of the End-Time Church.
🔥 FINAL WARNING
Your greatest enemy may not be the person fighting you.
It may be the self that refuses to surrender.
And your greatest victory may not be defeating someone else.
It may be kneeling before God and saying:
“Lord, You can have all of me.”
The cross is still calling.
The Spirit is still speaking.
The Bride must make herself ready.
And the question is no longer simply whether Jesus died for you.
The question is:
Have you allowed yourself to die so that Christ may live through you?
🕯️ What part of your life is God asking you to place on the altar today?
